New pricing model Simplified from four tiers to three: Free, Pro ($14/mo), and Business ($49/mo). Check frequency is now the primary differentiator — daily, hourly, or every 10 minutes. Retention scales with plan: 30 days, 1 year, or unlimited.
Team members Pro plans now include 3 team members. Business includes unlimited. Everyone on the team gets full access to diffs, snapshots, and downloads.
Fort Knox mode on Pro Zero-storage mode is now available on both Pro and Business plans. Previously Business-only.

GoDaddy support GoDaddy is now a supported provider. Connect with a read-only API key and all your GoDaddy zones are backed up automatically.
Improved diff view Side-by-side diffs now highlight individual value changes within records, not just added/removed lines. Easier to spot a TTL change or a modified TXT value.

Faster change detection Business plan checks now run every 10 minutes, down from 15. Pro remains hourly. Free remains daily.
Zone file download improvements Downloaded BIND zone files now include comments with the snapshot timestamp and provider source. Makes it easier to identify which backup you’re looking at.

DNSimple OAuth flow Connecting DNSimple now uses a one-click OAuth flow instead of manual token entry. Faster setup, same read-only permissions.

Backup retention controls Business plan now retains snapshots indefinitely. Pro retains 1 year. Free retains 30 days. Previously all plans had 90-day retention.
Email notifications Optional email alerts when a change is detected in any of your zones. Configurable per zone or for all zones.
Earlier
BackupMyDNS launched in 2022 with support for Cloudflare and Route53. DNSimple support was added in early 2023. The service has been profitable and self-funded since day one.
